The purpose of this Montana Handbook for Guardians and Conservators is to provide basic information about the responsibilities and duties of being a court-appointed legal guardian (Chapter 1) or conservator (Chapter 2) for an adult. It is also designed as a basic guide to an attorney assisting a client in this legal procedure (Chapter 3), and to provide a basic overview, for both court-appointed guardians and conservators and attorneys, of the protective services.
